Soybean Farmer (Producer)

You are a soybean farmer and would like to market your beans as Donau Soja or Europe Soya?
Donau Soja and Europe Soya beans are non-GM soybeans produced in the Donau Soja or Europe Soya region in accordance with EU-wide and international labour and social standards (ILO conventions) as well as EU plant protection regulations.

By signing the Donau Soja or Europe Soya Declaration of Self-Commitment respectively, soya bean farmers confirm compliance with all Donau Soja or Europe Soya requirements. Certification by an external inspection body is only required for soya bean farmers located in a risk level 3 production area (MDA, UKR). For farmers located in a production area with risk level 0 – 2, the participation in a group certification with their Donau Soja or Europe Soya agricultural primary collector is sufficient.

General requirements (valid for all risk levels):

Signing the Declaration of Self-Commitment or confirming compliance with the Donau Soja or Europe Soya requirements respectively on the shipping documents and forwarding this Declaration to the agricultural collector

Complying with the prohibition on the use of desiccants prior to harvest (e.g. glyphosate or diquat), and other restrictions on pesticide use (e. g. prohibited use of agrochemicals listed in the WHO lists 1a and 1b)

Producing according to the Donau Soja Principles (R 01b) or Europe Soya Principles (R 01b) of soybean cultivation

Within the EU: Participation in implementing the CAP (Common Agricultural Policy), with mandatory conditionality inspections
