At the beginning of March, Donau Soja kicked off the second year of collaboration with EIT Food in Serbia by hosting the training session ‘Transition towards Regenerative Agriculture’ as part of the EIT Food Regenerative Agriculture Programme.
Over 40 agricultural producers participated in the two-day training, exploring regenerative farming practices and their benefits. This programme provided farmers with expert knowledge, in-depth training, and hands-on guidance to support the transition to regenerative principles, ultimately improving soil health and farm resilience.
A key highlight of the training was the opportunity for farmers to witness regenerative practices in action, gaining practical insights they can implement on their own farms.
Additionally, this year 12 selected farmers will receive free, long-term support as part of the project, including soil quality assessments, data analysis, and customized regenerative practice plans to enhance farm productivity and sustainability over the next three years.
