With the support of EIT Food and our shared vision, Donau Soja Regional Centre Novi Sad hosted the first regional conference, “Ready for New EU Regulations: The Perspective of Regenerative Agriculture”, in Novi Sad, Serbia, on 5 November 2024. The event brought together over 90 participants from across the agri-food sector, including producers, processors, scientists, NGOs, and industry leaders. Discussions focused on the challenges posed by new EU regulations and how regenerative practices can help achieve climate neutrality while restoring vital resources such as soil, water and air. The conference highlighted the urgent need for Serbia’s agricultural sector to prepare for the EU Green Deal and presented solutions to support this transition.
With the support of the EIT Food Regenerative Agriculture Programme, Donau Soja remains committed to uniting agricultural producers, promoting best practices, and training farmers to meet the goals of sustainability and climate neutrality. These collaborative efforts are key to addressing both environmental and regulatory challenges in the future of European agriculture.
