Certified products are available in several European countries. You will recognise many of them by their DONAU SOJA and EUROPE SOYA labels, or the NON-GMO PRODUCED label.
Our labels may only be used on certified products and offer our partners the opportunity to make their efforts visible to consumers. In turn certified products with our logo on the packaging help consumers to make sustainable purchasing decisions at the point of sale.

Animal-based Products
EGG PRODUCTION IN GERMANY

Since summer 2022, LIDL Germany offers Donau Soja labelled eggs by its supplier and Donau Soja member Waden GmbH in LIDL stores in Lower Saxony.

Geflügelhof Aigner has been using certified Donau Soja in its laying hen feed since autumn 2014, with the eggs sold under the brand name Thanninger Freiheit and sold at EDEKA’s supermarkets..

Geflügelhof Teichweiden in the east of Germany also relies on certified European soya for its laying hen feed. Eggs labelled “fed with Europe Soya” are available in regional supermarkets and local grocery stores. Teichweiden further supplies bakeries, gastronomy and community catering with their premium eggs.
EGG PRODUCTION IN AUSTRIA

The supermarket chains of REWE (Billa, Billa Plus, Penny), Spar and Hofer – all members of the Donau Soja Association – sell more than 350 million eggs each year. Since November 2013, these eggs have been sourced from hens fed exclusively on European soya. More than 3.400 Austrian supermarkets now offer Donau Soja certified eggs, helping to promote European agriculture and reduce CO2 emissions.
Numerous direct marketers in Austria sell certified Donau Soja eggs, too.
PORK PRODUCTION IN AUSTRIA

On 10 July 2017, Spar Austria launched its new animal welfare brand, Tann für mehr Tierwohl, which ensure pigs have at least 100% more space, straw bedding and are fed GMO-free Donau Soja. The pork products are available in all Spar Austria supermarkets.
PORK PRODUCTION IN AUSTRIA

Starting in January 2018, Lidl in Western Austria now includes pork products bearing the Donau Soja label in its assortment. Feeding with Donau Soja is an additional voluntary certification for the AMA quality label for special feeding and greater animal welfare in pig farming.

Transgourmet Austria has been selling pork products from pigs fed with Donau Soja under the VoNatur brand since 2018, particularly to the wholesale and catering sector.
EGG PRODUCTION IN SWITZERLAND
–
As of 2015, all egg producers have been obliged to feed their Coop Naturafarm (CNf) laying hens exclusively with Donau Soja or Europe Soya.
CHICKEN PRODUCTION IN SWITZERLAND

Donau Soja feed has been used in the Coop Naturafarm (CNf) chicken programme since the spring of 2014. Since then, Coop offers Europe Soya-certified and labelled chicken.
EGG PRODUCTION IN SERBIA
–
The first Serbian Donau Soja-labelled eggs became available in June 2016, and are now sold in over 300 supermarkets belonging to the biggest retail chain, Mercator S, under the brand PL Kplus. In 2021, also Lidl Serbia came on board and offers Donau Soja-labelled eggs.

Eggs labelled “fed with Europe Soya” have been launched in PENNY stores in Lower Saxony in April 2024. The supplier for this product is Columbus Frischei GmbH, a member of Donau Soja.
Plant-based Products
PLANT-BASED PRODUCTS IN GERMANY, SPAIN & PORTUGAL

“The Wonder Chunks” – with the Europe Soya logo – have been available since summer 2022 in all ALDI SÜD and ALDI Nord stores throughout Germany, in Spain and Portugal. Together with their supplier PFG Future Food GmbH, ALDI SÜD and ALDI Nord are thus sending a strong signal for more transparency and regionality in the plant-based food sector.
VEMONDO SPREADS

Under the Vemondo brand, Lidl launched vegan soya-based spreads labelled with the Donau Soja logo across Europe in summer 2023. The three flavours “French style”, “Mexican style” and “Crispy Onions” are made with certified Donau Soja-soya. The Slovakian company Alfa Bio produces this product range.
MYVAY ORGANIC TOFU IN GERMANY

In January 2024 ALDI launched organic plain and smoked tofu under the brand MyVay in Germany. Both products are labelled with the Donau Soja logo and produced by our certified partner Alfa Bio.
VEMONDO TOFU
–
Lidl has expanded its range of vegan, Donau Soja certified products with the introduction of this labelled tofu. The product line has been available in various flavours across Europe since summer 2023.
VANTASTIC FOODS CHUNKS
–
Under the brand VANTASTIC FOODS, vegan chunks with the Donau Soja label have been available in regional Edeka markets in Germany and via the vegan online store Velivery since fall 2022.
TOFU IN GERMANY
–
Since August 2021, Edeka has been offering tofu products with the Donau Soja label in its stores throughout Germany. Supplier and long-lasting Donau Soja partner LUNTER from Slovakia is producing this tofu from Donau Soja certified soybeans. This product is sold under Edeka’s own brand “MyVeggie”.
VEGAN BURGERS IN GERMANY

Since April 2024, ALDI SÜD has been offering a vegan burger labelled with the Europe Soya logo in six German subsidiaries on a trial basis. The burger is produced by our long-standing partner PFG Future Food GmbH and is available in the flavors Crispy Chicken Style and American Style.
TOFU MADE IN SLOVAKIA
–
The tofu producer ALFA BIO offers a wide range of tofu products labelled with the Donau Soja logo under its brand Lunter. In their assortment you will find natural tofu, which is also suitable for sweet recipes and desserts, but also tofu for grilling and marinated products.

PORK IN GERMANY

Since January 2019, Edeka Südwestfleisch has been using Europe Soya certified feed in pig feeding as part of its Hofglück animal welfare programme. Participating Edeka markets offer a variety of meat and sausage products such as bratwurst, pork goulash and pork cutlets under their own brand.

The German Farmers’ Association Bäuerliche Erzeugergemeinschaft Schwäbisch Hall, which has been an active member of Donau Soja from the very beginning, has always opted for non-GMO production. Since 2015, only Europe Soya certified feed is used in pig feeding.
EGG PRODUCTS IN GERMANY

McDonald’s Germany has been using Donau Soja/ Europe Soya certified egg products from Donau Soja member ovofit Eiprodukte GmbH in its breakfast product range since 2016. In April 2024 there was a big relaunch of the breakfast assortment in Germany, offering new products.
VEGETARIAN PRODUCTS IN GERMANY

Rügenwalder Mühle is gradually converting its vegetarian/vegan product range to certified European soya. Since April 2019, they have used Donau Soja certified soya to manufacture their first products (Vegetarische Mühlen Hamburger and Vegetarisches Mühlen Hack). These products are available at Edeka, REWE and Kaufland, among others.
PRODUCTS WITH “NON-GMO PRODUCED” LABEL
SUNFLOWER OIL IN BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA

The company BIMAL is offering the first NON GMO certified and labelled oil in the category of sunflower oils in BiH since September 2019. Proud of the fact that the “Non GMO Produced” label of the Donau Soja organisation brought clear distinction between products on the shelves, BIMAL successfully responded to the wish of consumers in BiH to have a free choice.
EGGS IN BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA

Since spring of 2019, consumers in BiH have been able to choose non-GMO certified and labelled eggs for the first time. The country’s leading BiH retailer, Bingo, is offering its PL eggs with the Non-GMO Produced label in 200 markets across the country.
