Our expertise

At Donau Soja, we are committed to shaping the future of European food systems by promoting sustainable soya cultivation across Europe. Our organisation stands at the forefront of the European soya industry, with a deep-rooted mission to enhance the sustainability of our protein supply. Networking and knowledge transfer are key to Donau Soja’s approach. We organise workshops, webinars, and training sessions to support our members, partners and the wider soya sector about upcoming legal requirements, e.g. as part of the Green Deal, and private sector developments such as SBTi or QS Soya plus / AMA pastus+ – as well as the benefits of sustainable and European soya cultivation. This page provides an overview of the most important topics – spanning from policy to sustainability and agriculture – and will be further expanded over time.

EUDR & beyond

We actively participate in policy discussions and advocacy efforts at both the EU and national levels regarding the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) – especially in connection with further coming requirements such as CSRD, SBTi and CSDDD. Learn more what they have in common and how Donau Soja can help you with all of them.

Carbon Footprint and more

The main goal of the Green Deal is to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, and all economic sectors must play their part – including food production. This is why private sector initiatives such as the SBTi were established and legal requirements such as CSRD and CSDDD, which oblige companies to minimise the carbon footprint of their supply chains, were introduced. Find out how Donau Soja can reduce the carbon footprint by up to 90% and how this helps companies meet their climate targets.

Donau Soja Academy

At Donau Soja, we believe that sustainable agriculture is not just about producing food in an environmentally friendly way—it’s about creating a system that is sustainable for the planet and for future generations. How this can look like is laid down in our Donau Soja Protein Strategy for Europe. Join us in our mission to transform the agricultural landscape by supporting sustainable soya cultivation that benefits everyone, from the farmer to the consumer.
