Donau Soja event at the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad attracted great attention

6 June, 2024

Donau Soja Regional Centre Novi Sad and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands organised a seminar on the new EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) with the title “EUDR – a challenge or a chance for soya from Europe”, which was held on May 21 at the Master Congress Centre, as part of the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad.

The event brought together major producers, processors, and traders of soybeans and soybean products from the region and raised awareness about the EUDR requirements they must meet to be able to export their products to the EU. Around 70% of total annual soybean production (soybeans equivalent) from this region is placed on EU market, primarily in the form of various soy products for food and feed stuff. Expert speakers from the Netherlands, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Serbia, and leading market players in the region (Sojaprotein/ADM, Nestle Serbia, Bimal BiH, Zito Osijek), and the Donau Soja Association shared their insights and had engaging discussions on readiness for regulatory changes.

By joining efforts, Donau Soja can help you in meeting EUDR requirements and fully support your business at every stage of your EUDR journey.
