VLOG recognises Donau Soja & Europe Soya Standards

In June 2019, VLOG (German Association Food without Genetic Engineering) and Donau Soja agreed that Donau Soja partners who are certified according to the Donau Soja / Europe Soya Standard may be recognised as equivalent to those certified based on the VLOG standard. This avoids the need for additional auditing. As a result, Donau Soja / Europe Soya system partners who have been deemed to meet the requirements of the Donau Soja / Europe Soya standards in their Donau Soja / Europe Soya audit may now supply Donau Soja / Europe Soya feed

for the production of “ohne Gentechnik” (no genetic engineering) labelled food, which is evaluated as equivalent to “VLOG geprüft” (verified by VLOG) feed, on the basis of this certification. The significant advantage for VLOG-certified companies is that Donau Soja / Europe Soya feed is generally classified as “non-risk”, reducing the need for analyses, while at the agricultural level, inspection intervals can be extended. VLOG recognises the Donau Soja / Europe Soya certification as equivalent to certification according to the VLOG standard.

This option is open to all Donau Soja system partners who are certified according to the Donau Soja / Europe Soya standard for the following scopes:

Agricultural soya bean collectors and primary collectors

Soya traders

Soya bean primary processors

Compound feed producers

As a result of VLOG recognition, and following a licencing agreement with VLOG, system partners may now label feedstuffs certified according to Donau Soja / Europe Soya with the “VLOG geprüft” logo. Contact details are available at https://www.ohnegentechnik.org/en/
