From 13-14 February, the 22nd International BLACK SEA GRAIN. EUROPE Conference at the Marriott Hotel brought together agricultural leaders from more than 25 countries to discuss global and regional challenges in the grains and oilseeds markets, trade logistics and EU agricultural policy.
Our team from Ukraine was part of this dynamic event which addressed key issues – including market trends in wheat, corn and soybean production – and provided a platform to explore innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture.
In his presentation, Volodymyr Pugachov, Executive Director, Regional Director Eastern Europe at Donau Soja, explored the impact of European agricultural regulations on the region and the opportunities for sustainable development.
He highlighted how evolving EU policies – driven by the EU Green Deal – offer possibilities for local producers through the Donau Soja Protein Partnership Programme. This approach strengthens resilience against climate change, reduces water consumption, and integrates sustainably produced, non-GM soya from Europe into supply chains, with transparent communication to consumers via product labelling.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited our presentation booth! We had insightful discussions, forged new strategic partnerships, and showcased our commitment to transparency and innovation in sustainable supply chains.
