We are proud to announce that farmers from 11 European countries harvested a total of 1 million tonnes of Donau Soja and Europe Soya certified soybeans in 2024. Our network of over 1000 certified partners are the basis of a traceable and reliable supply chain across Europe.

Around 10% of the total European non-GM soybean harvest is now Donau Soja & Europe Soya certified. The certification system includes approximately 200 collectors supplied by 9000 soybean farmers who are actively contributing to sustainable farming practices while benefiting from improved market access and economic opportunities. In addition, 14 crushers are certified under Donau Soja/Europe Soya standards, or Non-GM Danube Region standards, complemented by 37 smaller soya processors, ensuring the availability of high quality products for various markets.

These achievements reflect the growing momentum for sustainable, non-GM agriculture in Europe. Donau Soja and Europe Soya remain committed to leading the transformation of agriculture towards a more sustainable, resilient, and traceable future.

But why use certified soya? The use of raw materials often represents the largest part of the carbon footprint. This is where Donau Soja can help: Donau Soja certified soya has a carbon footprint up to 90% lower than uncertified Brazilian soya, is deforestation- and conversion-free, non-GM and fully traceable from field to fork.
